Kazakhstan's October oilseed export up 77%

Kazakhstan exported 19,700 tonnes of oilseeds in October, 77% higher than in September but 12% less than in October of last year.

The lion's share of oilseeds export - more than three-quarters - is linseed. The volume of its exports compared to September grew almost 2.5 times, but went down 8% compared to October 2011. Export volumes of linseed by the end of October from Kazakhstan are much higher than Ukrainian, but lower than Russian.

Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan is rapidly increasing the area under this crop. Also, it is to be noted that there has been a sharp increase in exports of soy in October of this season. About 3,500 tonnes of soy were exported against 0.3 thousand tonnes in October of the last season.
