Czechoslovakia bans sale of fish products from China
Czech inspectors have said they have banned the marketing of around 42 tonnes of fish and fish products, mostly from China, following two months of health checks.
Around 10 percent of imported fish was found to be unfit for consumption, state veterinary office spokesman Josef Duben said Tuesday (Nov 28).
Some of the banned fish contained more than four times the allowed limit of polyphosphate, which endangers human health, Duben said.
