Taiwan's TSC buys 35,000 tonnes of US corn, soybean

State-owned Taiwan Sugar Corporation has concluded a buy tender Tuesday for 23,000 tonnes of US no. 2 yellow corn and 12,000 tonnes of US no. 2 yellow soybeans, a trader in Taipei said.

The corn and soybeans were purchased from trading house Agrex, the trader said.

The price for the corn has been set at US$142.95/tonne, cost and freight, Kaohshiung, and the price for soybean has been set at US$269.99/tonne, C&F, Kaohshiung.

TSC aims to ship the corn and soybeans either between Dec 23 and Jan 6 from the US Gulf, or between Jan 7 and 21 from the Pacific Northwest.
