No grain purchases by Japan's agriculture ministry this week

Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries would not hold any buy tenders this week for grains, a ministry official said Wednesday.

"We are not holding any tenders this week. But next week, we may have a tender to buy wheat," he added.

The official did not give any reason for not holding the tenders this week.
