Ukraine harvests 7.21 million tonnes of corn

Ukraine harvested 7.21 million tonnes of corn to Nov 28 on 1.65 million hectares, 96 percent of the total area to be harvested, the agriculture ministry announced Tuesday.

The average yield to date was 4.37 tonnes/hectare.

On the same date last year, Ukraine harvested 8.65 million tonnes of corn on 2.07 million hectares with the average yield of 4.18 tonnes/hectares.
