USDA seeks inclusion of South Korea for poultry imports
USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service will be proposing to include South Korea in its list of countries eligible to export poultry products to the US.
FSIS said its review of Korean laws and inspection programmes demonstrated that its requirements are equivalent to the Poultry Products Inspection Act and its implementing regulations.
Certified Korean processing establishments would be eligible to export poultry to the US. FSIS would re-inspect such product at US ports of entry.
