Pakistani seafood exports increase by 42.17%

Pakistan's fish and fish preparations exports surged 42.17% during July to October 2010 as against the exports from the same period of the previous year.

According to provisional figures released by Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS), the seafood exports during the period under review were recorded at US$83.971 million against the exports of 59.062 million during July-October (2009-10).

The seafood exports during October 2010 increased by 22.37% and 24.61% as compared with the exports of September 2010 and October 2009, respectively.

Fish and fish preparations exports during October 2010 were recorded at US$30.916 million against the exports of US$23.355 million in September 2010 and US$24.811 million in October last year, according to the figures.
