Fall in China's October fishmeal imports
China imported 35,761 tonnes of fishmeal in October, down 57 percent from September, and a 68 percent fall from the same period last year.
Imports in October came mostly from:
US: 10,575 tonnes;
Peru: 9,981 tonnes;
Chile: 4,834 tonnes.
For the period from January to October 2006, China's fishmeal imports totalled 913,152 tonnes, down 39 percent on-year.
