Vietnam's Dong Nai province's industrial chicken prices rise
The industrial chicken prices are currently rising in Vietnam's Dong Nai province after a long time at a low price.
The chicken for purchase in the farm is valued at VND30,500 (US$1.5) per kilogramme, nearly VND10,000 (US$0.48) per kilogramme higher than that of two last weeks. However, the price rate is still VND500,000 (US$24) lower than production cost.
The industrial chicken prices for daily sales have increased by VND1,000 (US$0.05) due to an increase in purchase power.
According to the Dong Nai Livestock Association, the increase in white chicken prices has been resulted from customers' wariness against imported chicken, including types of discarded chicken, low quality chicken.
The colourful industrial chicken prices have also remained high, from VND45,000-46,000 (US$2.16-2.21) per kilogramme.
