Russia may reissue grain export duties in 2012

Next year, Russia may bring back the issue of customs duties on grain exports, stated Vladimir Tkachenko, Deputy Director of the Department of trade negotiations of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, on Thursday (Nov 24).

According to him, to date the market does not see any problems. But the Ministry is monitoring the situation, and works out the further decisions in the sphere of imposition of the export duties.

The government plans to return to consideration of the issue after the New Year, basing on estimation of the general grain harvest, and dynamics of exports, said Sergei Sukhov, Director of the department of agricultural and food market regulation and infrastructure development of the Ministry of Agriculture.
