CP gets nod to open fish food plant in Vietnam
CP Vietnam, a subsidiary of Thai conglomerate CP Foods, has just received an investment licence from the southern province of Ben Tre to open a US$68.5 million plant to produce feed for fish and shrimp farming.
Provincial People's Committee vice chairman Nguyen Quoc Bao issued the licence last week.
The project, considered the biggest of its kind, will cover an area of 12 hectares at the An Hiep Industrial Complex in Chau Thanh District. The plant --upon its completion in August 2008-- will operate with a total capacity of 384,000 tonnes per year.
