China methionine imports down in October
China's methionine imports in October registered 6,094 tonnes, down 2,137.5 tonnes from September.
For the period January to October 2006, imports totalled 66,735 tonnes worth about US$144.48 million.
Imports from Japan fell 1,665 tonnes from September to register 2,170 tonnes.
Combined import volume from France and Spain totalled 440 tonnes, down 240 tonnes from September.
Imports from Belgium, the US and Russia registered 2,420 tonnes, 800 tonnes and 264 tonnes respectively.
