Rise in China's October lysine imports
China imported 2,037.5 tonnes of lysine in October, up 792 tonnes from September.
For the period from January to October 2006, China's lysine imports totalled 19,985 tonnes worth about US$24.13 million.
In particular, imports from Thailand and the US totalled 303 tonnes and 300 tonnes respectively. Imports from South Korea were almost unchanged from September at 665 tonnes.
Lysine imports from Brazil and Indonesia registered 735 tonnes and 34 tonnes respectively.
