China fishmeal imports down 32.5 percent in October
China imported 111,384 tonnes of fishmeal in October 2005, down 32.5 percent from the previous month, and a 25.1 percent fall compared with the same period last year.
The October imports came mostly from:
Peru: 76,033 tonnes;
Chile: 12,066 tonnes;
US: 8,089 tonnes.
From January to October 2005, China's fishmeal imports totalled 1,505,795 tonnes.
