Russia's grain exports drop to 11.4 million tonnes
Since the beginning of the agricultural season on July 1, Russia exported 11.380 million tonnes of grain as of November 21, compared to 13.733 million tonnes a year earlier.
This is according to the Agriculture Ministry's report released late on Tuesday (Nov 20), citing data of the Federal Customs Service.
Earlier in November, the ministry increased its forecast for grain exports for the current agricultural year, which ends on June 30, to 15.5 million tonnes with no intention to introduce restrictions, Deputy Agriculture Minister Ilya Shestakov said then.
Earlier, the ministry's outlook for grain exports stood at 10 million–11 million tonnes.
