Russia's Molvest to establish milk plant in Ulyanovsk Region

Russia's Molvest will build a milk plant worth RUB2 billion (US$64.5 million) in the Ulyanovsk Region within two years.

The regional government said on Monday (Nov 26), citing the region's Agriculture Minister Alexander Chepukhin. The construction of the plant will be launched in March-May 2013.

Chepukhin said that the regional government has concluded an investment agreement with the company. The project stipulates the construction of a milk processing plant with a daily capacity of 300 tonnes of milk.

Molvest will also develop its own resource base for milk production in the region, as the demand for resources will rise after the launch of the plant.
