Ukraine 2009 harvest may reach 48 million tonnes
Grain harvest in Ukraine for 2009 will total 48 million tonnes, says Prime Minister Julia Timoshenko.
According to Timoshenko, Ukraine in the current year will again produce the record grain harvest after 2008 period - 53.3 million tonnes. The quality of grains will exceed the previous year level.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy increased own grain harvest forecast for 2009 from 47 million tonnes to 48 million tonnes in clean weight at the expense of corn volumes.
