Colombia to continue egg exportations to Mexico
Colombia will resume egg exportations to Mexico from November 25.
Around 1.32 million eggs will be sent to Mexico following the work of the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) and Fenavi.
Mexico is the largest consumer of table eggs in the world, but the market was affected this year following an outbreak of avian flu, which led to the closure of exports.
A second shipment will be released on November 27 from the port of Buenaventura, Colombia.
On average, six million eggs per week are exported to Mexico.
