Oxea introduces butyric acid AF for the feed industry
Global chemical company, Oxea, from Germany, has announced the commercial availability of a new manufactured product under GMP+B2, "Butyric Acid AF".
One of the uses of Butyric Acid AF is its usage as a raw material in the production of butyrates applied in the animal feed industry, supporting today's trend towards the substitution of in-feed antibiotic growth promoters.
"With the GMP+B2 certificate for our Butryic Acid AF, we respond to the requirements of our customers in the feed market and at the same time strengthen our position as a market leader in oxo-based carboxylic acids", said Miguel Mantas, member of the Oxea Executive Board.
Oxea is a global manufacturer of Oxo intermediates and Oxo derivatives such as alcohols, polyols, carboxylic acids, specialty esters, and amines.
These products are used for the production of high-quality coatings, lubricants, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, flavourings and fragrances, printing inks and plastics.
The company's revenue in the 2009/10 financial year was about GBP1.1 billion (US$1.47 billion) and it has 1,350 employees in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
