Russian pig production up by 6 percent on-year
Russia reported a total number of pigs at 17.5 million, an increase of 6 percent on-year.
Meanwhile, the total number of cattle was 22.1 million, 0.4 percent less than a year ago. This included 9.4 million cows, a fall of 1.4 percent on the year.
Generally, Russian meat production from January to October increased by about 9 percent on-year to 6.3 million metric tonnes in live weight.
