China's fish sales surge by 16.8 percent on-year
China's fish transaction volume was 390,000 tonnes in October, rising by 12 percent month-on-month and 16.8 percent year-on-year.
This is according to the latest statistics gathered by the Ministry of Agriculture from 35 Chinese wholesale markets.
Meanwhile, Shandong in eastern China reported an increase on fish export to US$1.84 billion, a 6.1-percent rise on-year.
Poultry meat exports also increased by 18.5 percent to US$350 million. The figures were released by Qingdao Customs.
