China's Xinjiang accounts for 50% of the total poultry export to Central Asia

  

 

Xinjiang Pagelangqin Halal Food Co., Ltd is the only poultry producer in Xinjiang that exports its meat and processed products to Central Asia. Its export volumes have since reached 1600 tons, which accounts for 50% of China's total export to the Central Asian countries.

 

According to Mushajiang Wulaying, General Manager of Xinjiang Pagelangqin, the company is capable of rearing and processing 15 million broilers annually. Besides exporting to foreign markets, the company has also established 150 franchise stores and 1000 counters in Xinjiang.

 

The company started exporting poultry to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in 2007, and have since enjoyed a sustainable growth rate annually, with Kyrgyzstan being the main export market for the past two years.

 

Currently, the company is working with the Kazakhstan government for plans to establish a breeding and slaughter farm there, so as to expedite its goal of reaching 5000 tons in export volume.
