Methionine prices stabilise as Chinese buyers limit buying
Prices of methionine were stable to higher during the week ending November 24.
Demand for methionine showed little improvement as poultry producers stayed cautious but several sellers lifted prices after meeting sales quota for the month.
Price quotes for locally produced methionine were at RMB25.50/kg.
Distributors of imported methionine will continue to increase prices while supplies stay tight with imports reduced during October and the local producer seeing no signs of resuming operation.
