Canada to donate C$1 million to Vietnam against bird flu
The Canadian government will be donating C$1 million to help Vietnam in its fight against bird flu, announced Canadian International Development Agency's (CIDA) president Robert Greenhill on Nov 23.
Assistance from the Canadian government will also come in the form of lab testing techniques and epidemiological supervision to help Vietnam fight against bird flu and other diseases such as SARS.
The aid was announced after Greenhill's meeting with Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Public Health Tran Chi Liem in Hanoi, Vietnam.
