Over the past two weeks, vitamin A dealers slashed quotes drastically to clear stocks amid sluggish demand, sending vitamin A prices markedly lower.

Transacted prices of imported vitamin A slumped to RMB145-150/kg while those of locally produced vitamin A pushed sharply lower to RMB142-147/kg.

General market prices of imported vitamin "A1000" by a foreign producer sank to around RMB285-295/kg.

Market outlook for vitamin A remains bleak in the coming period.
