China's Maidan Group Expands Its Lysine Production Capacity to 20,000 tons Per Annum

According to industry insiders, Maidan Group, which is located in Fujian province, is investing RMB350 million to expand its annual production capacity of lysine to 20,000 tons from the current 2,000 ton per year. The expansion is said would be ready for production in February 2004.
It is reported that the new plant equipment of the company is reconstructed from its monosodium glutamate production equipment.
Maidan Group is a joint-venture by Weidan Group of Taiwan in Mainland China.
