Russia re-lists five US poultry plants
Five US poultry plants have been relisted by Russia as eligible exporters, according to the USDA.
The following facilities are now allowed to export products produced on or after November 13:
- Sanderson Farms Inc., Collins, Mississippi.
- House of Raeford Farms Inc., Greenville, South Carolina.
- Peco Foods Inc., Bay Springs, Mississippi.
- Peco Foods Inc., Sebastopol, Mississippi.
- Stanford Refrigerated Warehouses, Macon, Georgia.
The Sanderson and Peco plants were banned by Russia in August 2008 following an audit that discovered violations of Russian standards.
Stanford Refrigerated Warehouses did not pass its 2007 Russian audit. The House of Raeford plant was banned after discovering tetracycline residue in 2008.
