FrieslandCampina to focus on calf breeding in Thailand

FrieslandCampina Dairy Feed and FrieslandCampina Thailand will join forces to enhance calf breeding management at farms in Thailand.

Better calf breeding and improved calf health helps boost milk quality and farm management.

FrieslandCampina Thailand supplies a wide range of dairy products to Thai consumers, and it works with Thai dairy cooperatives for the supply of milk; while the cooperatives are customers of FrieslandCampina Dairy Feed.

This improved farm management scheme will be implemented in a number of model farms in Thailand. The scheme will include modifications of calf feed during the first days of life, use of roughage and concentrates, clean water and extra attention to calf health.
