Biomin launches a new website on its global research and innovation network
press release
Scientists and researches in the field of animal nutrition can now log on to a newly designed website. Biomin's Research and Innovation Network B.R.A.I.N. supports studies ranging from mycotoxin control to Natural Growth Promotion.
Complete information about B.R.A.I.N. can be found on the recently launched website at http://www.brain.biomin.net. Results of the latest scientific congresses, information about current co-operations and the section "Brainee of the Quarter" complete the content of the re-launched website.
The BIOMIN Research and Innovation Network (B.R.A.I.N.) is a programme created to support young and highly skilled scientists. Its aim is to fund interesting research projects in the area of animal nutrition, animal health, natural growth promotion, feed-microbiology and biotechnology, mycotoxins, feed hygiene and preservation as well as undesirable substances.
This special BIOMIN program is divided into two parts: B.R.A.I.N.1 and B.R.A.I.N. 2.
In B.R.A.I.N. 1 a jury continuously evaluates the submitted project proposals of students and research teams and decides upon funding for the most promising ones. Consideration will be given to research projects, scientific studies, diploma- or PhD-thesis on a topic related to one of BIOMIN's suggested research fields.
B.R.A.I.N. 2 is devoted to awarding excellent scientific work from all over the world. Abstracts for papers referring to one of BIOMIN's research fields will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary jury.
Annually the authors of the top five may publish their full scientific paper in the proceedings of the World Nutrition Forum and get an award of 300 euros. They will also have the chance to be elected for the best bi-annual paper, which is rewarded with 5000 EUR. The author may present its paper orally at the World Nutrition Forum. All related costs will be covered by BIOMIN.
