AWB 2H profit up 26 percent on good grain prices
AWB Ltd., Australia's largest wheat exporter, announced its second-half profit rose by 26 percent as earnings from grain trading were boosted by higher prices.
Net income rose to A$15.3 million (US$13.6 million) in the six months ended September 30, from A$12.1 million a year earlier, said Peter McBride, a spokesman for the Melbourne-based company.
