US frozen poultry stocks 8 percent below last year

Total frozen poultry supplies at the end of October were down 4 percent from the previous month, and 8 percent below last year, according to a USDA report on agricultural products in cold storage.

Total stocks of chicken were down 11 percent from last year at 713 million pounds, although it was 2.4 million pounds above the previous month. Frozen egg stocks were down 15 percent on the month at 16.3 million pounds.

Turkey in freezers were down 7.5 percent from last month and 1.5 percent below last year's levels.
