Prices of vitamin B12 in China generally lower amid intense competition

Prices of vitamin B12 in China generally weakened in recent days following light trade.

Recent offer prices of imported and locally produced vitamin B12 (high-pressure liquid, one percent content) generally hovered at RMB330/kg and were in the range of RMB310-315/kg respectively. Transacted prices were generally lower by about RMB5/kg.

Meanwhile, offer and transacted prices of locally produced vitamin B12 (ultra-violet examined, 0.6 percent content) generally hovered at RMB175/kg and RMB170/kg respectively. Deals were concluded with major buyers at the lower level of RMB165/kg, down by RMB5-10/kg compared with the same period in October.

Companies including Xiamen Kingdomway Vitamin Inc. and Ningxia Multi-vitamin Co. Ltd. have started producing vitamin B12, in light of its positive market outlook lately. Due to more intense market competition, prices of vitamin B12 in China have generally moved lower recently.
