EU plots future of aquaculture industry

The European Commission hosted a major conference in Brussels to advance the debate on sustainable development of European aquaculture.

The priorities identified in the conference would be used as guides in reviewing the current strategy on sustainable aquaculture in Europe. The role of public authorities was also discussed in the EU conference.

Around 200 delegates attended from various sectors, including representatives of national and regional authorities, scientists, NGOs and stakeholders.
