China locally produced vitamin B1 prices stable on mix of tight supplies and weak feed sales
An eFeedLink exclusive report
Although supplies of vitamin B1 in China remained tight lately, its prices were generally stable as demand for vitamin B1 by feed millers was weak.
As of Nov 18, offer prices of locally produced vitamin B1 in northern China were in the range of RMB128-130/kg, while transacted prices for bulk purchases registered between RMB127/kg and RMB128/kg.
Offer prices of locally produced vitamin B1 in southern China hovered at the level of RMB130/kg recently, while transacted prices were in the range of RMB128-130/kg, generally unchanged compared with the same period in October.
Analysts said supplies of vitamin B1 held by Chinese producers were tight lately. However, any significant movements in prices of vitamin B1 in China are seen unlikely in the near term, in light of weak vitamin B1 demand for feed production.
