Russia reports new classical swine fever outbreak
Evgeny Nepoklonov, Deputy Head, Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Ministry of Agriculture, Moscow, has reported to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) a new outbreak of Classical swine fever (CSF).
The outbreak occurred in Mikhailovka, Blagoveshchensky, Amur Oblast and remains on-going.
There have been four confirmed CSF cases in total and weekly follow-up reports will be submitted.
Various control measures have been applied such as stamping out, quarantine, movement control inside the country, screening, disinfection of infected premises/establishment(s), no vaccination, and no treatment of affected animals.
