Aviagen appoints new CEO
Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group has appointed Jan K. Henriksen as its new CEO, effective from January 1, 2014.
Henriksen brings with him more than 20 years of experience in global agri-business. Currently, the Danish is the CEO of Landmännen Unibake, an international bakery division of Landmännen Group. He was also the CEO of Landmännen Kronfogel Group, one of the top broiler integrations in Northern Europe. During this time, Henriksen worked closely with Aviagen and is familiar with the needs and requirements of the broiler industry.
Before joining Landmännen, Henriksen was previously the sales director and executive director at Tulip Food Company for eight years. This was followed by an appointment as sales and marketing director at Tholstrup Cheese, and later, as managing director for Danaeg Amba.
In addition to Henriksen's appointment, Randall Ennis, presently CEO of the Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group, has been appointed director of global business development for Aviagen's parent organisation, EW GROUP, effective from January 1, 2014. Ennis will report directly to the owners of EW GROUP and will be responsible for a number of important expansion projects for the wider Group.
According to Erich Wesjohann, CEO of EW GROUP, Ennis has served in Aviagen for more than 18 years and held various management roles during this time.
