China's corn marketing affected by snow storm

The marketing of the fresh corn in China has been hampered by severe snow storm in the country's northeast region.

"Once the rain and snow stop, the northeastern China region will see mass supply of new corn and this will weigh on corn prices," Ma Chengjun, a trader, said.

Meanwhile, the government is likely to implement a stockholding policy for corn, which would help prop up prices. In the light of this, corn prices are expected to maintain a weak, fluctuating trend.
