Cherkizovo launches second line plant at Russia's Kaliningrad region
Cherkizovo Group has launched the second line of its meat processing plant in Russia's Kaliningrad Region.
The plant's meat production capacity rose to 1,500 tonnes per month due to the launch of the second line, Cherkizovo said. They acquired the plant named the Otechestvenniy product in 2010 and carried out an upgrade. It launched the first 300-tonne line in June 2011.
"Total investment in the project amounts to more than US$15 million and today Otechestvenniy product is the flagship company of the group," Cherkizovo said.
