China biotin prices plunge amid weak feed demand

Biotin prices in China tumbled as feed demand continued to be affected, partly due to the melamine contamination scandal.
      
Market transacted prices of locally produced biotin were in the range of RMB190-210/kg ex-factory. Some small volume deals were concluded at slightly higher price levels.
 
General market prices of imported biotin were in the range of RMB215-235kg.

Near-term prices are seen weak with demand likely to remain sluggish.
