China's Imports of Soybean for First 10 months Total 18,400,856 MT

According to China Customs Authority, the country's total imports of soybean for the first 10 months of 2003 were 18,400,856 tons, up by 111% compared to the same period last year.

For the month of October, China imported 690,416 tons of soybeans, down by 37% versus the same period last year. Of the imported amount, 262,529 tons were from Argentina; 367,156 tons from Brazil; 59,718 tons from USA; and 1,013 tons from Canada.
