Russia's Jan-Oct poultry production up 15.3% on-year
After the government boosted investment in the industry in order to lower imports of the meat, Russian poultry output in the period January-October grew to 2.8 million tonnes, 15.3% higher than the same period a year earlier.
Without giving the output in tonnages, the Federal Statistics Service said on Friday (Nov 16) that poultry output in October increased by 6.1% compared with October 2011 and increased by 3% compared with September this year.
