Kenya to buy 200,000 tonnes US wheat
Kenya will be buying 200,000 tonnes of wheat from the US over the next year following Russia's grain export ban, said US Ambassador Michael Ranneberger.
According to local news, the east African country received a 50,000-tonne wheat shipment from the US at Mombasa port yesterday.
The US expects a "record" amount of wheat purchases from east Africa nations this year, Ranneberger said.
