UK animal health firm introduces antibiotic for pig pneumonia, ileitis

ECO Animal Health has introduced a new water soluble antibiotic, Aivlosin, for quick treatment of enzootic pneumonia and ileitis in pigs.

As a soluble granule, Aivlosin offers the flexibility to treat individual pens - features which are not always possible when using medication via the feed route.

ECO Animal Health said the proven efficacy of Aivlosin is underpinned by its rapid absorption and targeted accumulation at the site of infection, providing producers with improved growth rated and better feed conversion.

Challenge and field trials against ileitis have shown Aivlosin in-feed treatments to consistently improve clinical disease and performance in the face of serious infection challenges.
