South Korea's Jan-Oct corn imports down 22 percent on-year
South Korea, the world's third-largest corn buyer, reduced Jan-Oct corn imports by 22 percent from a year earlier to 6.1 million tonnes, industry data showed on Wednesday (Nov 18).
Corn imports for feed production, which account for around 80 percent of the total, dropped 25 percent to 4.89 million tonnes, according to customs data.
Imports of food-grade corn also fell five percent to 1.19 million tonnes.
