Taiwan Sugar Buys 35,000 MT US Corn from Mitsui
State-owned Taiwan Sugar Corp. bought 35,000 metric tons of US No. 2 yellow corn from trading house Mitsui in a tender concluded Friday, according to a Taipei-based trader who received the tender result.
Taiwan Sugar bought one cargo of corn at $162.90 a ton, cost and freight to the port of Kaohsiung, the trader said.
The cargo is set to be shipped either Dec. 2-16 from the US Gulf, or Dec. 17-31 from the Pacific Northwest, the trader said.
Mitsui can supply 5% more or 10% less of the tendered quantity.
