Sulphate additives market quiet; prices stable in China
Cupric sulphate
Demand was soft of late as buyers limited purchases while hog market was weak.
As of November 16, transaction prices of cupric sulphate were in the range of RMB14,200-14,550/tonne.
Cupric sulphate prices are seen soft with demand slow and copper futures prices expected to be weak.
Zinc sulphate
Export demand for zinc sulphate was stable but overall sales in the domestic market remained slack even though several large feed millers stockpiled inventories lately.
Output costs of zinc sulphate production are expected to stay stable with zinc future prices staying on weak trends.
Manganese sulphate
Production of manganese sulphate was low as several producers limited output or halted operation due to environmental issues.
Manganese sulphate prices are unlikely to move lower due to tight supplies.
Ferrous sulphate
Supplies of ferrous sulphate were tight due to reduced production, holding prices mostly unchanged of late.
Ex-factory price quotes by major producers were at RMB300-400/tonne.
Demand for ferrous sulphate will continue to be soft with feed millers treading prudently amid slow feed consumption.
