Thailand will improve poultry farming practices to fight bird flu
Thailand will not be vaccinating poultry to fight bird flu as it will pose a greater health risk to humans; instead, it will be working to improve on its farming practices, concluded representatives from the country's Public Health, Agriculture, Commerce, Finance and Natural Resources and Environment ministries at a forum held on Nov 16.
Poultry vaccinations may increase the risk of humans contracting bird flu from sick birds that are vaccinated, some scientists believe.
