GrainCorp appoints new CFO
GrainCorp has announced the appointment of Alistair Bell as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Bell brings to GrainCorp a range of finance, operations, treasury, M&A, and private equity experience, from a number of sectors including property, hospitality and travel, telecommunications, and mining and metals.
GrainCorp CEO, Alison Watkins, said of Bell's appointment, "Alistair joins GrainCorp at an important time for the company and he brings a broad range of skills and experience that will add considerable depth to our senior management team."
Bell will take up his role as CFO from November 16.
Watkins also announced the appointment of Heather Miles as the General Manager of Corporate services, commencing November 8.
"Heather brings 20 years of forest products, banking, food manufacturing and senior human resource experience from McKinsey & Company, Carter Holt Harvey, and Westpac."
Watkins said, "Having completed the senior management changes announced over the last week, I now look forward to announcing the company's 2010 financial year result on November 25, and working with our country operations, ports, and support staff to safely and successfully receive, store, and handle the harvest that is starting to now get underway in earnest."
