Alltech Asia-Pacific undergoes further expansion
 

 

Alltech continues its commitment to the emerging Asia-Pacific region with the implementation of a personnel expansion programme. To date, the region has seen a 53 percent increase in Alltech's local presence, and this latest growth is testimony to Alltech's "thinking globally, acting locally" philosophy. The company estimated a presence of 400 employees in the region by 2008. As part of the latest programme, Alltech would like to announce the following key appointments:

 

Dr. Dinesh Bhosale has joined as Regional Ruminant Technical Manager for South Asia and Southeast Asia. Dr Bhosale was previously with the American Soybean Association, where he worked as Technical Director for Poultry, Livestock and Aquaculture. He also holds the position of Treasurer of the Poultry Federation of India and President of the Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association of India (CLFMA). Dr. Bhosale's responsibilities would include: spearheading Alltech's Ruminant Program, identifying areas for research in the ruminant industry and addressing issues such as infertility, longer inter-calving period, mastitis incidences and nutritional disorders in Asia. He would work closely to deliver value and additional support to key customers. Bhosale would be based in Alltech's office in Pune, India, and would travel extensively throughout South Asia and Southeast Asia.

 

Ms Andrea Murphy has joined as Regional Ruminant Technical Manager for the Pacific Rim. Since obtaining a Master of Science Degree in Ruminant Nutrition and International Development from the University of Guelph, Canada, Murphy has gained considerable international experience as a Dairy Technical Specialist in Europe, North America and Asia. After completing her tenure in Shanghai with a bi-lateral development project between the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and the Canadian International Development Agency, Murphy continued in China as a freelance consultant with industry partners and the World Bank. She would be based in New Zealand and would travel extensively throughout the Pacific Rim.

 

The strategic appointments of Bhosale and Murphy followed the recent appointments of Dr. Darryl D'Souza as Regional Swine Technical Manager, Dr. Kim Huang as Regional Poultry Technical Manager.

 

Alltech Aqua, the aquaculture division of Alltech Inc., has also expanded with the appointments of Mr Haris Muhtadi as Technical Sales Manager - Aquaculture Farm Sector (Alltech Indonesia) and Mr Phan Le Phuong as Technical Sales Manager - Aquaculture Farm Sector (Alltech Vietnam).

 

In the Pacific-Rim, Alltech announced the appointments of Ms Kim Brister as Technical Sales Representative (Alltech Australia), Mr Andreas Spragge as Technical Sales Manager (Alltech Australia), Ms Kylie Ahmed as Office Accountant (Alltech Australia), Ms Penny Moore as Accounts Clerk (Alltech Australia), Mr Yoshinori Hashizawa as Technical Advisor (Alltech Japan) and Mr Kim Jintae as Technical Sales Manager (Alltech Korea).

 

In China and Taiwan, Alltech announced the appointment of Dr. Kuowei Ssu as Corporate Account Business Manager (Alltech Taiwan), Ms Rachel Lin as Office Manager (Alltech Taiwan), Mr John Zhang as Area Business Manager (Alltech China), Mr Jiao Zhaopeng as East Asian MIS Manager (Alltech China), Mr Joe Zhu as Financial Manager (Alltech China), Ms Li Jia Qu as Receptionist (Alltech China), Wang Jingxia as Technical Assistant (Alltech China), Xu Shuhai as Technical and Sales Representative (Alltech China), Tu Weisong as Technical and Sales Representative (Alltech China), Ms Lu Lu as Marketing Assistant and Mr Xu Dong as Marketing Assistant (Alltech China).

 

In South Asia, Alltech announced the appointment of Dr. Aman Syed as Business Development Manager (Alltech India), Mr Anil Kumar as Marketing Coordinator (Alltech India), Mr Khurshid Anwar as Sales Manager (Alltech Bangladesh) and Dr. Sumudu Kariyawasam as Business Development Manager (Alltech Sri Lanka).

 

In Southeast Asia, Alltech was pleased to announce Dr. Riza Haerudin as Technical Service Manager for Key Accounts (Alltech Indonesia), Apriloka Muliania as Office Accountant (Alltech Indonesia), Mr Le Minh Quang as Key Account Manager - Feed mill (Alltech Vietnam), Ms Hua Mong as Office Assistant (Alltech Vietnam), Pablito Mangahas as Technical Sales Manager (Alltech Philippines), Carmina Hernandez as Accountant (Alltech Philippines), Ms Somrudee Chunsukonas as Technical Support Manager (Alltech Thailand), Mr Suksant Chanprasert as Technical Sales Manager (Alltech Thailand), Mr Anawat Sangkhasap as Marketing Coordinator (Alltech  Thailand).
