North Korea's Imports of Chinese Pork Soar in First 9 Months of 2004

North Korea's pork imports from China surged in the January to September period of this year, according to figures by the Chinese maritime customs office.

North Korea imported US$110.74 million worth of Chinese pork in the first 9 months, increasing almost 243% from $32.29 million last year.
